society work, assess the current state of knowledge in the use of mobile technology to

Just a quick update from the MobileActive08 team:  We have closed the session submissions at this point.  We appreciate the overwhelming number of suggestions we received for workshops, mini-talks, and suggested SIMlab and SIMplaace submissions.  We will be reviewing all suggested sessions in the early July and will be in touch with an update on which sessions where selected in mid-July!

In the meantime, thanks again!  We are honored and delighted at the interest and deep knowledge that we are seeing in the submisssions.  More from us soon!

We are still accepting proposals for sessions for MobileActive08 with YOUR ideas for mobiles of social impact. MobileActive08 will take place in Johannesburg October 13-15! 

If you want to run a workshop, give a talk, showcase your project or product in the SIMplace or SIMlab, submit a proposal!  Deadline is June 30th for submission of proposals; general event registration will open AFTER that date.

We've gotten dozens of great proposals from some of the most stellar names in the field. But we want to hear from you!  Here is how it works:

1. Read this page.

2. Submit a proposal for a workshop, mini talk, SIMlab, or SIMplace spot.

3. Indicate whether you need travel support.

4. We'll be in touch with you after June 30 to let you know whether your proposal was accepted.
